Group sessions
We offer weekly runs for a wide range of abilities, from those who already run regularly to runners looking to build on their current fitness. If you're just starting out and feel you may need to incorporate walking into your routine, we recommend registering for our Couch to 5K (C25K) programme to help build your running foundation.

3. Do I need to be an experienced runner to join?
We welcome runners of all levels, and the focus of our Wednesday runs is inclusivity and enjoyment. Whether you're just starting out or training for your next race, you'll fit right in. We only ask that new starters can comfortably run/walk 5km in around 40 minutes to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience

We run two routes, 5 km and 8 km. Both have a variety of paces and you are welcome to join either.

Absolutely! There’s no pressure to become a member. However, when you’re ready, you can do so via our club shop.
8. What happens after the run?
After the run, some of us head to The Cricketers for a drink. It’s a great chance to meet other Chasers and chat about running (or anything else!).
9. I’m nervous about joining a new group. Will I fit in?
Everyone was new once, and we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, welcoming club. The first Wednesday of the month is specifically designed to introduce new members, so you’ll be joining other first-timers too.
